Who ran to help me when I fell,
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
And would some pretty story tell,
Or kiss the place to make it well?
My Mother
When thou art feeble, old, and gray,
My healthy arm shall be thy stay,
And I will soothe thy pains away.
My Mother.
My healthy arm shall be thy stay,
And I will soothe thy pains away.
My Mother.

Hello, dear readers, hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers' Day today. A bright and sunny morning greeted me, with breakfast in bed from my two lovely daughters (with help from their Daddy,of course). Feels great to be pampered once in a while, doesn't it? I have been soaking up all the sunshine we have been having this weekend, after so many weekends of rain!!Today is the first time this spring we mowed our lawn and I'm super excited about planting all my seedlings outside and planning my container garden. I've picked up a few colored potteries for my deck and patio and can't wait to get started with them. The nurseries are now bursting with colors of every hue and picking out the flowers to go with my containers is the most fun part..My sister hosted the Mother's Day Brunch this year and I would love to share her table with you, today. Everything looks so bright and cheerful.... DAISIES, BUTTERFLIES, sunny YELLOW.... perfect for this special spring day, don't you agree?
A Mother's Day Brunch:
I love these daisy napkin holders! They brighten up her table so much.
A little close-up on the stemware:
The butterfly dinnerware looks adorable against the spring tablescape:
I love the simple elegance of the silver candle holder:
English poet Ann Taylor's sister Jane Taylor is the author of the "Twinkle Twinkle little Star." I have hummed this tune so many times when my girls' were little babies.
It has been a splendid day today spending time with my family and I hope it has been special for you as well.
The greatest gift of all is the gift of "motherhood."
I appreciate you stopping by and for your sweet comments. It always brightens up my day!
Happy Spring!
I'll be linking with these lovely ladies this week. Do stop by for a visit and share the creativity that resides in all of us!

ReplyDeleteWhen we lived in Lavenham, suffolk, UK, my daughter's friend lived in Shilling Grange - the home of the Taylors. It might interest you to see our village and the house in the sketch book I made.
