Endless Summer!

Then followed that beautiful season... Summer....
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.
~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Before, I continue any further with this post, I would like to express my thanks to  sweet Marty at: A Stroll thru Life for featuring my Galvanized Decoupaged Bucket at her Table Top Tuesday. Decorating the house with fresh-cut flowers is such a beautiful way to enjoy those gorgeous summer blooms. I love colorful fresh flowers lined up in cute mason jars on my kitchen counter or window sill or the gorgeous roses and the delicate Queen Anne's Lace in crystal vases as an elegant centerpiece for my table. Perennial flowers are so beautiful and I wish they lasted longer and all summer long....

The peonies in my flower bed have displayed their glorious beauty and I've enjoyed bringing them indoors. Every time I pass by I catch a wisp of their heavenly fragrance. Makes me happy!
In today's tablescape I've used them as a centerpiece for my tea table and they are a real showstopper. Don't you agree?

Lovely Peonies glorifying my green McCoy Vase:
Who can resist these lavish blooms?

I love sultry summer afternoons with  gentle breezes:
Under the canopy of the Dappled Japanese Willow:

Sitting back and enjoying a cup of tea :
Visiting with friends:
Close-up on dainty cups and teapots:
 Sipping a cup of tea:
With cream and sugar:

Sharing a plate of croissant:

or a plate of shortbread-raspberry cookies:

Close-up on delicate linens:
 Close-up on silver candlesticks:

I love the effect created by flickering candle lights:

It was a pleasure to have you over on this beautiful summer afternoon. Thanks for sharing tea and light refreshments with me. I hope you stop by and visit me soon. I always look forward to your visits and your sweet comments.

HAVE A GREAT SUMMER EVERYONE!

Poppy, Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog. Yes, of course, I would love for you to participate in my weekly linky parties. Sharing a beverage is fine, it does not have to be food. I have linkies on Mondays, and Thursdays. Mondays you can share any kind of recipe, Thursdays I'm hoping to get only vintage recipes, but that only means 10 years or older. Looking forward to your participation. Have a great day. :-)

Thanks for the nice comment. I stopped by your page and I really, really, love all the flowers.
