Enchanting summer evenings have always captivated me! I love puttering around in my yard, inhaling the smell of freshly mowed grass, gathering the freshly cut flowers for a beautiful summer bouquet, or simply walking barefoot on wet, dewy grass as dusk gently falls upon the horizon.
My perennial border is in full bloom, and I'm having so much fun playing in my garden:
"I love the daisies' dance. All the meadow over."
~ Majorie Pickthall~
"Hearts they have of shining gold,
Rays of shining whiteness:"
"Blow, O blow you happy winds,
Singing summer's praises:"
Loving the simple elegance of the beautiful Shasta daisy as dusk slowly descends:
Soft candle light in old mason jars create a fairy tale romance in my garden:
I love blue Mason jars! Any place, any time, any setting, they beckon me:
They look magical in any vignette or tablesetting:
No garden setting can be complete without a little birdie singing a sweet melody:
A little votive burning under a metal cloche renders a dreamy setting:
The simple basket is a recent garage sale find for only a quarter. I applied a coat of gesso to shabby it up a little, and the embossed chipboard tags from Michaels craft store got a coating of chalkboard paint as well:
Love how the chalkboard tag looks with the white flower basket:
The brown kraft paper cones make perfect little posies of daisies:

I had transplanted this lavender bush from my front yard last year. I'm happy to say it is doing very well this year in its new location:
