Hope everyone is enjoying this fall weekend! It has been raining incessantly this entire weekend! We have been planning to go to Pumpkinville but that trip has to be postponed until the weather clears up. I have spent the weekend baking indoors and making use of the harvested apples from the apple trees in my backyard. Well, you've seen the apple blossoms in my spring post: Apple Blossom Tea Party and now the same trees are loaded with apples. I love fall! The vivid colors all around make you feel like October is having a party!
October gave a party;
The leaves by hundreds came -
The Chestnuts, Oaks, and Maples,
And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

I love these white flatware caddies:
And these peach colored mother-of-pearl flatware is just perfect for the caddies:
Apple Crisp with vanilla ice-cream is a perfect dessert for Fall, don't you agree?
The orange burlap runner with a brocade border reflect the colors of the season wonderfully:
The wire cloche houses the yellow mums:
I couldn't resist adding some bling to the sheer ribbon bow atop the cloche:

Poppy, you are SO blessed to have such an abundance of wonderful apple trees in your yard!!! It would be so nice to be able to simply walk out the door and grab enough apples to make pie! I think your spring apple blossom post was the first time I visited your blog, so I remember it pretty well. Now, about this apricot or peach-colored flatware...I WANT IT!!!! Man, that's a beautiful color!!! We don't see a lot of tables adorned in shades of peach or apricot, so it's really nice to see some bits and pieces out there. VERY nice!!!!! Have an applicious weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful fall decor, especially your lovely vignette! Your flatware is just awesome! Don't think I've ever seen any that color! And the little mercury glass votives are great!!
