Inspirational Muses

Ever since I started blogging I've met so many creative and talented fellow bloggers that I wonder sometimes what I was doing before I was blogging! There are so many inspirational people out there that it just amazes me! My inspiration for today is Judy at DIY by Design

  I admire her creative skill in taking simple ordinary things and turning them into something extraordinary in simple, quick and easy steps! You can click HERE to view one such project that inspired me to do my post for today.

I was lucky enough to find these upholstery fabric sample squares at our local fabric store. They were Red Tagged pieces that were further marked down to half off the clearance price! So I got four sample squares for $1 each. I got some trims to co-ordinate with each pillow and I was ready to tackle my weekend project!


I sewed the trim to the right side of each fabric square





Then I sewed the other two coordinating fabric squares to the above pieces, right sides together.

 Inserted the pillow form and slip-stitched the top of each.

Voila!

 Window seats and fruit kebabs....


It seems like it has been raining forever! It shows no sign of stopping. I miss bright sunny days...

    Oooh...I'm loving your new pillows, my friend! What beautiful fabrics! I love how you coordinated the blue stripe with the blue palm tree print...sooo pretty! But I must confess...I just adore your blue toile pillow! I love anything toile! They all look sooo pretty together too! Such a lovely vignette...love that cobalt blue pitcher! Mmmm...a glass of fresh pink lemonade sounds sooo good right now! I'll be right over! Hehe! Sorry to hear that you are having rainy days.     Just love the pillows that you made. All of the fabrics coordinate so nicely together. ANd such amazing prices you got. I usually make all of my pillows. It saves so much money!

    oooh the pillows r just what I've been craving for ... especially the toile and one with the map details , how about selling these Poppy?
