Front Door Monogrammed Basket

Hello, dear friends!
I love changing my front door decor according to the seasons. A welcoming bouquet of fresh or silk flowers on the door is a wonderful way to greet guests:

Sprucing up my front patio and making seasonal changes is so much fun:

Evergreens in urns flank the front door on either side:

Last week, I shared with you my burlap bag planter filled with green ferns that pairs beautifully with the potted geraniums in the metal plant stand:

A quiet place to sit and enjoy the beautiful days of summer:

I love the view of the dapple willow tree in my yard from this angle:

A view of the front door overlooking the white fence:

I painted the front door blue, and I love how well it complements the stone facade of the house:

The front patio at dusk:

I love sitting out here in the evenings with a glass of wine and watch the sunset:

The front door monogrammed hanging basket:

The moss covered letter in the basket center is a simple project. A wooden letter, some green moss, and a hot glue gun is all that is needed for this project:

Put some hot glue on the wooden letter surface and start attaching the moss to it. Work in small sections to prevent the glue from drying out.

I glued the moss covered letter to a scrap of burlap and attached it to the center of the basket:

Filled the basket with silk forsythia and yellow daisies for a splash of summer:

I trimmed the moss a little with scissors to smooth out the edges:

Attached a wire edged burlap bow to complete the look:

I really love how the monogrammed basket looks on my front door: perfect for summer:

My front patio as dusk gently descends in the valley:

A peek into my next post: My foyer as you enter from the front door:

  22. Hi Poppy, you have such a welcoming porch area. The basket turned out so cute! I love anything with moss. Think I will be picking up a letter O and give it the moss treatment. Decorating my porch for the seasons is a fav of mine as well. I just bought a cute burlap bag to make an arrangement in. I went to Wal-mart looking for the one you showed last week. No luck here in UT. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
