Mini Tour of a Christmas Family Room

Hello, dear friends! How is your weekend going?
I am almost done decorating my home for the holiday season.
Now, if I can only finish the shopping and baking, then I can safely say I'm all set!!!

I'm almost ready for the most wonderful time of the year.

It's the most wonderful time of the year
With the kids jingle belling
And everyone telling you "Be of good cheer"
It's the most wonderful time of the year

It's the hap-happiest season of all
With those holiday greetings and gay happy meetings
When friends come to call
It's the hap- happiest season of all

There'll be parties for hosting
Marshmallows for toasting
And caroling out in the snow

There'll be scary ghost stories
And tales of the glories of
Christmases long, long ago

It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistletoeing
And hearts will be glowing

When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time of the year

I love decorating my home in traditional red, white and green accents during Christmas.

The colors make everything look so warm, cozy and festive.

Thanks for stopping by today and for taking a tour of my Christmas decor. It is always a pleasure having you here.

Also I would like to express my thanks to these wonderful hostesses: Sandi from Rose Chintz CottageBrenda from Cozy Little House   and Linda from Coastal Charm for featuring my Christmas Dining Room  and Christmas Banner at their Tuesday link parties.  Stop by and say hello to these lovely ladies if you get a chance for tons of inspiration, project ideas, and mouth-watering dessert recipes or simply join their weekly parties to share your creativity.

Christmas Banner as Accents

Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year, when I enjoy decorating every corner of my home.

I love adding details in home decor that make decorating for Christmas so much fun!

Simple Christmas banners add a festive look to a room, and I love using them at this time of the year.

I found the chalkboard banner at our local craft store, and I simply added bundles of faux red berries and fresh pine sprigs tied in red gingham ribbon.

I hung the banner in front of the chest to spruce up this corner of our dining room

Couple of years back, I used evergreen sprigs and dried orange slices for a Christmas garland for my kitchen windows.

Sitting on top of the chest is a decorated wooden terrarium.

Remember the mason jar luminaries from last year? Well, I love them so much that I am using them again this year. The terrarium houses three of the mason jar luminaries and lights up this corner of the room beautifully.

Love the ambiance and warmth created by these glass luminaries:

I love how the white terrarium looks dressed for Christmas:

Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope you enjoyed your stay here.
I am hoping to post more of my Christmas decorations in the next few weeks.

Stop by and say hello to Katherine if you get a chance for tons of inspiration and project ideas, or simply join her weekly parties to share your creativity.
Happy weekend!

Thanksgiving Buffet Table

Hello, dear friends!
Thanksgiving is just a few short days away, and I am sure everyone is busy with last minute preparations.

This is my most favorite time of the year. I love having family and friends over for the holidays, sharing meals, and creating memories. It is the start of the holiday season!

I love entertaining, and this is the time of the year when I have lots of fun playing with dishes, tablesetting, cooking, and celebrating the blessings in our life!

I used gold foil for the gilded mini pumpkins.

Apply foil adhesive on the top part of the pumpkin with a small sponge brush.
Next, press the gold foil side down on top of the pumpkin, tapping gently with the sponge brush.
Then, slowly peel away the wax-paper backing, and in the end you will have a beautifully gilded mini pumpkin.
It can used as a place card holder or simply as a pretty accent at your table.

In keeping with the fall color theme, I used mostly white dishes to set my buffet table and autumn colors as accent through out the table.

I stacked the amber glass compotes and housed them under an over-sized glass cloche.

The ceramic utensil caddies keep the flatware nicely organized

I don't know why, but everything always looks so pretty when it's under a cloche.

I used the gold painted pumpkins as a flower vase and as accents in my tablescape.

Love how they turned out and how they add a touch of glam to my Thanksgiving tablescape.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Wishing you and your family a safe and joyful Thanksgiving!
