Graduation Party Theme

Follow on Bloglovin

Hello, dear friends! It feels so wonderful to return from my long hiatus, visit my favorite blogs, and catch up with their latest innovative projects. I missed you so much and have been catching up these last few weeks. This past year has been so hectic with so much going on in my life along with the college application  process of my oldest daughter. Well, I am happy to say that after a long journey she has finally graduated as valedictorian of her class and will be attending Brown University in the fall.

Last weekend was her graduation ceremony as well as her graduation party, and I wanted to share some of the pictures from her party.
The Graduating Class of 2013

Red and gold are the school colors, so I wanted to incorporate the same color theme for the party:

Paper lanterns hung from apple trees:

I made the the pennant banners from scraps of calico and then strung them around the yard and the buffet tables:

The chalkboard circles in the center of the calico banner started out as unfinished wooden circles from the local craft store. Then, I spray painted the circles with chalkboard paint:

The centerpieces for each table were simple mason jars wrapped in burlap:
 filled with summer blooms:
and tied with gingham ribbon made from fabric scraps:

They make simple and cute floral centerpieces:

Perfect for a summer outdoor party:

Under the tent with tables covered in red and yellow gingham checks:

Fun times with family and friends:

and fun summer outdoor games:

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit me. It is a pleasure having you over and have missed you so much! I'm so sorry I have been unable to keep up with blogging these past few months, but now I'm back and am having a wonderful time catching up on all your wonderful projects.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs, Poppy
